Thomas More Workship Program Application

    The Information Systems "Workship" (Work-Scholarship) Program covers the full balance of a student's tuition cost remaining after any institutional or outside scholarships are deducted. For more details on terms and conditions, click here.

    The Workship application deadline is March 1 prior to the fall semester in which the student plans to enroll.

    To be eligible to apply for the Workship, you must:

    1) Earn acceptance to Thomas More University: Apply for Admission
    2) Seek a Bachelor's Degree with a major in Computer Information Systems or Management Information Systems
    3) Earn at least a 3.5 high school GPA on a 4.0 scale in a college prep curriculum OR a high school GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in a college prep curriculum along with a 23+ ACT composite (1130+ SAT or 74+ CLT)

    To apply for the Workship, you must:

    1) Submit the application form below.

    2) Submit one letter of recommendation from an Information Systems teacher, math teacher, computer technology coordinator, or guidance counselor. The letter may be uploaded through the application form below or emailed to Dr. Chuck Zimmer at zimmerc@thomasmore.edu.

    3) Submit a one page single-spaced letter in which you describe your interest in applying for the scholarship, what it is about computers that interests you, what value is added to an Information Systems degree by having work-related experience, a description of any computer experience you may have, either formal or self-taught, and any creative or original computer activities in which you have participated. The letter must be uploaded through the application form below.
